Overview

The SG-8200 and SG-8201series utilize Epson new low noise fractional-N PLL technology, where the stability has been improved by to 2x and phase jitter has been reduced 1/25th versus the previous generation of Epson programable crystal oscillator. It is ideal for variety of consumer and industrial applications, which requires small form factor and/or operation in harsh environment with wide operating temperature range up to +125°C. This programmable SPXO can be used in small lots and quick turn-around time for any frequency in the range of 1.2 MHz to 170 MHz, contributing to automotive applications from development to mass production.

Series Lineup

For general application and for automotive compliant products are prepared.
1.1 ps Typ. of phase jitter at fo = 125 MHz, can operate accuately even in high temperature environment up to 125°C with tempeture compensated feature. Package size is 2.5mm x 2.0mm x 0.74mm.

2. Comparison by Low Phase Noise/Low Jitter Characteristics

Compared with existing programmable SPXO [SG-8101series], high accuracy & low jitter [SG-8201series] whose phase noise is improved about 30 dBc/Hz at offset frequency from 100 kHz to 1 MHz, and phase jitter is reduced to about 1/40.
