Overview
The SG-8200 and SG-8201series utilize Epson new low noise fractional-N PLL technology, where the stability has been improved by to 2x and phase jitter has been reduced 1/25th versus the previous generation of Epson programable crystal oscillator. It is ideal for variety of consumer and industrial applications, which requires small form factor and/or operation in harsh environment with wide operating temperature range up to +125°C. This programmable SPXO can be used in small lots and quick turn-around time for any frequency in the range of 1.2 MHz to 170 MHz, contributing to automotive applications from development to mass production.
Series Lineup
For general application and for automotive compliant products are prepared.
1.1 ps Typ. of phase jitter at fo = 125 MHz, can operate accuately even in high temperature environment up to 125°C with tempeture compensated feature. Package size is 2.5mm x 2.0mm x 0.74mm.

Fractional-N PLL
Fractional-N PLL enables to program any frequency up to 170 MHz, with 10-6 (1 ppm) accuracy
> PLL can make high frequency and correct the frequency variation for high stability

Temperature Compensation
Temperature Compensation function enables to adjust the temperature variation between -40 °C to +125 °C
> Freq. temp. characteristics of X'tal can be kept small for high stability and wide temperature range

Compared with high accuracy & low jitter [SG-8201 series] and existing programmable SPXO [SG-8101series], [SG-8201 series] can adjust the temperature variation up to +125°C and has high stability characteristics over a wide temperature range.


2. Comparison by Low Phase Noise/Low Jitter Characteristics
Compared with existing programmable SPXO [SG-8101series], high accuracy & low jitter [SG-8201series] whose phase noise is improved about 30 dBc/Hz at offset frequency from 100 kHz to 1 MHz, and phase jitter is reduced to about 1/40.
